HEAT Swim Tri Clinic #2 – Sun 5/5 – Hit The Open Water

We had such a great time with Jeff at the 1st Swim Clinic that we’ve decided to put together another one before the season starts.

This will be another full 2 hour clinic at St. Joe’s in West Hartford with Coach Jeff Stuart.

We’ll be a bit more relaxed at this session and spend more time on drills and race strategy but won’t skip the individual instructions.
We’ll give everyone more flexibility on the workouts but you’ll have the option to work hard if you want.

We will also provide handouts and sample training designs like last time.

If you attended the 1st session feel free to sign up again.  if you can’t make it, please pass on the word.

All levels are welcome – from complete novice to ex-college swimmers. We are renting the entire pool so you will be in a lane with people of similar ability. We guarantee that Jeff will have you swimming faster after the 2 hours and ready to take on the open water season.

The session will be limited to 25 individuals and we expect this to sell out fast.

Cost will be $30 for HEAT Members, $40 for non-HEAT Members.

2013 Rev3 Quassy • HEAT Member Discount and Club Challenge

From the Rev3 Team…

We are gearing up for our 2013 season and have decided to center this season around the most important aspect of triathlon, YOU! We are eager to work with all types of triathlon clubs in 2013. Clubs are the heart of this sport, it is why triathlon is growing so rapidly, and we want to support you for bringing so much to the sport of Triathlon.

TRI-CLUB CHALLENGE Team up with your club to participate in our Tri-Club challenge. How it works•

Scoring will be cross country scoring. Every club will get an overall score based on how their top 10 athletes place How many club members they have at the race. Before the race begins every club will get 2 PONTS per member they bring to the race. Exp: if your club has 40 members registered you will get a score of 80 points. Club members will need to add your club name in the appropriate box during online registration. We will also score your top ten athletes from your club (male or female) overall. First place gets one point, 242 place gets two hundred and forty two points…etc We will take the total of your top ten athletes + the total amount from your club participation and subtract the two numbers. THE LOWEST SCORE WINS!!!

*We have added this to our timing programming so we will be able to have results onsite during the Half awards ceremony. You must have ten people to be eligible for the club challenge. FOR YOU AS A TRI-CLUB MEMBER

HEAT MEMBERS Discount; $10 off the Olympic $20 off the Half

Obtain the HEAT Discount codes in the members only forum or contact membership@ctheat.org

We want to go above and beyond for our clubs this year so if you have any ideas about how we can make the race better for you please let me know. I am more than happy to help!

Quassy 2013 will be on June 1-2, 2013.
