HEAT’s Bill Lombardi won his age group in the HITS Olympic Distance Triathlon in Naples. Here are Bill’s thoughts about the event:

Ran the ‘HITS’ Olympic Triathlon on 1/7 and won my age group. It’s a fine organization that should give ‘M dot’ some good competition. There was a sprint and Olympic race on 1/7 and a 70.3 and IM on 1/8. An ‘open’ division was held later on 1/7 for first timers or those just wanting to loosen up for the 70.3 and IM on Sunday (200 meter sw, 8 mile bk, and 2 mile run).

Police protection and volunteer coverage were outstanding.
